Open World Russian
Delegation with Dr. Karen
Otazo at Vital Voices Office
were selected on
a competitive basis through the Open
World Program, funded by the Library
of Congress and supported by
American Councils, to participate in
a week-long political leadership
training with Vital Voices Global
Partnership from July 14th-22nd,
2007. The goal of the Open World
Program is to forge international
understanding by bringing Americans
and visiting delegates together to
create opportunities for lasting
connections between host communities
here and in Eurasia. The
participants came from diverse
backgrounds, including private
business, independent newspapers,
state health departments, public
relations firms, and political
administrative offices.
